Eastern Iowa is absolutely beautiful!
Today was the shortest route of the tour, but it had the most hill. 3000 feet of elevation gain in 54 miles. Its was my day to drive but Nathan and Bert also drove. Once we parked, the three of us, along with Ray Allen and Micheal, of Team Cow Bell, rode a good portion of the days route in reverse. We caught up with everyone and headed back into Bellevue, grabbed a quick bite to eat and dipped our tires in the Mississippi.
Everyone completed the full route, 477+ miles in 8 days.
What a fantastic trip! Everybody did great , and had a blast. Now back to Texas.
We will continue to update the blog with photos and video, as our Internet connection permits, so keep checking for updates.
Also, Thanks to you all for the words of encouragement and for keeping up with our journey.

“Hey Lone Star”
It’s good to be home!
I can’t believe after all we ate and I still lost a couple of pounds. I had a great time with the Bulge Krew and I am glad I got to share the experience of cycling loonacy with a few of my friends. RAGBRAI is a ride worth doing and I wish more of us could have been there, maybe next time. We met some truely wonderful people in each of the host towns and along the way. I can’t thank Jack, Sharon, Ron, Carl, and Judy enough for there hospitality and providing Team Bulge with a place to park and hook-up the MBBC Family Truckster. I believe I can speak for everyone on Team Bulge by saying that the people of Iowa are very friendly and know how to put on a great bike ride. Also thanks to Phil’s friend John for allowing us to rent the Truckster because with out it this trip may not have happened. Thanks to everyone with Team Bulge for pulling together and working as a team in helping this trip go as smoothly as possible but, if I smell anymore PIG POOP for a while it will be way to soon.
Thanks Iowa, Thanks Team Bulge, and everyone who helped in supporting our adventure.
Keep the Blog’s rolling.
